Alexis Wolf

Licensed Intervention Specialist

Alexis Wolf has fourteen years of in classroom intervention experience working with students who learn best outside of the box. If your struggling reader comes with attention challenges, behavioral challenges, organization or cognitive challenges, I’ve got you covered.

After I completed a first degree in my first love, cognitive neuropsychology, I decided I wanted to apply what I knew to kids brains and how they learn best. I entered the field of special education and completed a special education degree and credentialing. During my 14 years in the classroom and instructional coaching, I completed my Masters of Instruction and Curriculum and Reading Specialist Certifications. Now I am completely focused on helping students, parents and teachers navigate the world of learning to read when your brain works a little differently.

Confidence and a Love of Reading

You may be starting to notice that your child is frustrated at school, the teachers are out of ideas within the classroom, and your child is uninterested or resistant to picking up even their favorite picture book. Challenges in literacy not only affect a child’s ability to learn, but their ability to feel confident in the learning environment. Wolf Pack Readers scaffolds and supports early wins for students to build confidence. Our multi sensory approach and out of the box thinking works with students strengths and interests to re-establish fun and curiosity in the reading process.

Developing well rounded literacy.

A rounded literacy approach helps your child to develop all aspects of literacy with explicitly modeled skills and strategies, supported practice and independent work to ensure generalization of skills. All components that your student is working on; phonological and phonemic awareness, phonetic decoding and sight recognition, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension, as well and translating these skills into written expression are designed to work together through each lesson to systematically grow and support overall literacy.
